We will start our Queen of Hearts Raffle drawing on Friday, February 3rd, at 8 pm at Good Spirits!  Tickets go on sale Monday, January 23rd.  Tickets will be available at Corneglio Ag, Good Spirits, and through Chris Risler!  We will have a drawing weekly on Friday nights at Good Spirits until the Queen is found.  Make sure you get in on the action! Need not be present to win!

QUEEN OF HEARTS – 50/50 RAFFLE RULES OF THE GAME ALL PROCEEDS BENEFIT Farmer City Heritage Days: “The Queen of Hearts” is a licensed weekly progressive raffle. 54 playing cards including two jokers are placed face down on a mounting board, the cards are numbered one (1) through fifty four (54) and are sealed to the board. Farmer City Heritage Days volunteers had no part in the card placement or securing the cards on the board. Once a card is selected; the tab will be pulled and the card face up on the board. If the Queen of Hearts is not selected the game will rollover to the next week. After the drawing, all tickets for that week’s drawing will be destroyed. The total prize pool will continue to accumulate weekly until the QUEEN OF HEARTS is drawn. The jackpot amount, based on ticket sales, will be updated and displayed. Updates will also be posted on Facebook. A projected amount will be posted on weekly forms used for reference based off of the following week’s sales. The first drawing will be Friday, February 3rd, 2023 at 8:00 pm at Good Spirits (314 S Main St Farmer City, IL). Only 1 ticket will be drawn each week. The winner need not be present. Thereafter, the drawing will be each Friday at 8:00 pm at Good Spirits (unless otherwise posted). When the drawing falls on a holiday, we will announce in advance what changes will be made(can change drawing plans with a week's notice) Tickets are 1 or $1 or 6 for $5.00, and you can buy as many as you wish. Tickets can be purchased immediately after the drawing up to the time of the next drawing. There can be only one name per ticket. Write your name, telephone number AND the number of the available card number you are requesting. If a person does not put a number (or present if they are going to be present at time of drawing) and/or name on their ticket, it is an automatic rollover and no money is distributed. If a ticket is pulled and it has a number that has already been taken, it is an automatic rollover and no money is distributed. Should this raffle go the full 54 weeks and when we pull the last ticket and it has an unavailable card number on it, we will pull another ticket. The ticket holder who selects the Queen of Hearts is the Grand Prize Winner and will be paid 50% of the pot minus 24% pretax (if greater than $5,000). The other 50% will go to Farmer City Heritage Days. If a prize greater than $600.00 is awarded; the winner will need to confirm their identity and SSN by completing and signing all necessary IRS paperwork. In addition, the IRS requires a withholding of 24% of the winnings less the amount of the wager if the prize is more than $5,000.00. Winnings will not be distributed until the winner presents 2 valid forms of identification. If a player is unwilling or unable to provide any of the listed items, the prize money will revert to Farmer City Heritage Days. A winner cannot donate the prize without first taking ownership of the prize, which means the appropriate IRS paperwork must be issued and the appropriate withholding taken. If a winner then wants to donate their prize he/she can do so. Farmer city Heritage Days is a 501(c)3 non for profit and a tax deductible organization for donations. Tickets will be available for purchase at Corneglio Ag (716 N Main St Farmer City, IL 61842 cut off for current week's drawing will end at 4pm only at Corneglio Ag) and Good Spirits and through Chris Risler. Ticket sales will END 15 minutes prior to the drawings, so get there early!! Only cash will be acceptable forms of payment. If you do not agree with the rules of this game at this venue, there is no obligation to play. Winners need not be present for the Grand Prize. However, if you are present, and your ticket is pulled, you have a chance of winning $20 if a number card is opened, $40 for a face card and $100 for a joker. When a Joker is pulled, it will automatically reset the board, and a new board will be started. This reset will occur every time a joker is revealed. Farmer City Heritage Days volunteers, and committee members are eligible to participate and collect the prize money if they select the Queen of Hearts. **The Queen of Hearts Committee reserves the right to amend these rules as needed prior to any week’s drawing.
